BIA/Kelsey’s Dataworld division offers custom mapping of coverage patterns for all commercial and non-commercial radio and television stations.
Our maps provide an effective illustration of a station's coverage and can be used to:
- Visualize audience demographics by
- Identify demographic concentrations and specific ethnic breakouts (e.g., percent of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese within an Asian demographic)
- Tailor programming to your audience
- Sell smarter advertising
- Find new marketing opportunities
BIA/Kelsey has created custom maps for over 15 years for small and large stations, governmental licensing authorities and broadcast investors.
Just Added: BIA/Kelsey's Dataworld broadcast engineering
services now use 2010 U.S. Census Bureau information for more than
5.5 million geographic areas to generate custom maps for licensed
television and radio stations.
Order a customized map to illustrate in detail all the particulars of your station like:
- Population densities
- Demographic shading
- Boundary (zip code, TV market, MSA) data or geo-coded data
- Broadcast facility coverage contours
Maps are based on FCC predicted contours or Longley-Rice calculations and provide a wide variety of data layers such as boundaries, ethnic population densities and multiple demographic breakouts.
BIA/Kelsey uses your specifications when creating a custom contour map of your station. You can also enhance your map with exactly the information you need by choosing from a comprehensive variety of data layers (see below) which can be printed directly on the map or overlaid on the map. The map can even display your station logo.
